Chocolate Cheesecake

8 1/2 ounces chocolate wafer crumbs
1/3 cup melted butter
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 large eggs
1 cup grained sugar



3 (8-ounce) packages of, softened cream cheese
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1 cup whipped cream

Directions:

Grind chocolate wafer crumbs, in a blender or food processor until fine. Combine 2 tablespoons sugar, and nutmeg; with melted butter and mix well and press evenly all over, of a 9-inch spring form pan. Let it Chill. Combine eggs and 1cup sugar in a mixer bowl and continue beating until it's thick and light. Add softened cream cheese and beat the mixture until smooth. Melt the semisweet chocolate chips in a double boiler over hot water. And let it cool.



Mix the cream cheese mixture with vanilla, salt and sour cream and pour this mixture into the prepared pan. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 1hour. Cool the pan on a wire rack and let it chill. Whip cream with powdered sugar until its thick. Remove the cake form the pan and spread the prepared mixture over the cheesecake. This cake makes 12 servings.
